Talk about ending the week with a hard post! Estelle and I decided to choose our Top 5 Sherman Brothers songs. This proved to be more difficult than I thought it would be. I could choose 5 songs from Mary Poppins alone. So I decided not to choose any from that film. Crazy I know but I wanted to focus on some of their other work.
1. The Spectrum Song
This song was a part of the Adventure in Color segment on Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color. The segment also introduced us to Ludwig Von Drake (I love him!) See, learning can be fun!
2.Let’s Get Together from The Parent Trap
I watched the original The Parent Trap a lot as a kid. This song was always stuck in my head and was always my favorite to dance around too. Plus I was always fascinated with the way Haley Mills says alligator. I have no idea why.
3. One Little Spark
This song reminds me of my childhood days at Epcot and sadly, the old version of Journey into Imagination.
4.Higitus Figitus from The Sword in the Stone
I was packing was this easy and fun. This was one of my favorite films when I was a kid. I am so sad I didn’t get to see Merlin when he was a part of Disneyland’s Limited Time Magic. He needs to be back in the parks!
5.The Beautiful Briny from Bedknobs and Broomsticks
I mean who wouldn’t want to bob along at the bottom of the beautiful briny sea.
