Walt Disney World becomes a different place during the Holidays. There are lights, garland, Christmas trees, and gingerbread pretty much everywhere. I love it! I also love the characters in Holiday outfits at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We love meeting characters so it’s fun seeing them in different attire. I’ve covered this topic before but there has been a few changes since then.
Mickey & Minnie
Mickey and Minnie now meet together at the Adventurers Outpost on Discovery Island. Before they met seperatly at Camp Minnie-Mickey. They are in the same outfits as previous years but I love that they are meeting together now.
Hundred Acre Wood Friends
You can meet Pooh and his friends in their Holiday best at Discovery Island. When we visited a few years ago we met Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore. It is still one of my favorite character experiences. Tigger wouldn’t stop bouncing, Eeyore was really shy, and Pooh gave us some really cute poses.
Santa Goofy with Pluto
Goofy and Pluto meet in their regular spot in DinoLand U.S.A. But for the holidays Goofy is dressed as Santa and Pluto is wearing his Holiday collar. If you only do one meet and greet during your Holiday visit I would choose this one. Santa Goofy also meets at Hollywood Studios during the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights but the line there can be really long. Plus, how can you resist this guy in such a cute costume!
Camp Minnie-Mickey is a great spot to meet several characters including Pocahontas (if it’s cold enough she’ll be in her winter dress), Baloo and King Louie, Donald Duck, and Chip & Dale. The areas where they meet are decorated for the Holidays too. You should also take the time to check out the different Christmas trees at Camp Minnie-Mickey. I hope they find a new home for them when this area closes!
We are heading back to Walt Disney World in December and I can’t wait to see all of these guys again!
